Photography is the first sentence of a good story! - these words by César Mourão are the starting point for this new exhibition.

‘How I see you’, brings together 31 photographs from an attentive and perceptive eye, which captures unique moments full of creativity. César approaches photography from a different angle, inviting the viewer to discover new perspectives, to read beyond what is visible.

Each photograph holds a fragment of an untold film - a scene open to multiple interpretations, where what's outside the frame is just as revealing as what's inside.

In this encounter between the photographer and the observer, the photograph becomes alive, dynamic, continuing to evolve far beyond the instant it was captured. After all, it is in this shared space between the eye that records and the eye that interprets that the real magic lies: an infinity of stories waiting to be told.

César Mourão, born on 1 August 1978 in Lisbon, is known for his artistic versatility. He is a renowned Portuguese actor, presenter and comedian.

In 2021, he launched the production company 313 Features and made his directorial debut with a six-part documentary series about the life of footballer Paulo Futre. Recently, in 2024, he directed and starred alongside Júlia Palha in the film ‘Podia ter esperado por agosto’, a romantic comedy, which premiered at NOS cinemas and is now available on SIC's OPTO platform.

In addition to humour, his work as an actor and director, his passion for photography reveals a great artistic sensibility. This photographic exhibition is a natural extension of his keen eye for detail, which reflects his constant search for new forms of expression.
